Whether the bride-to-be would like the bridal party to present a sense of uniformity or if each maid is assigned her own style, typically it is appropriate that the bride is able to request that her bridesmaids wear a particular wedding hair style.

Hopefully she explained this and other responsibilities to the bridal party before they committed to the responsibility. If she did not and it would cause a financial hardship to the bridesmaid, it should be discussed so that a compromise can be made or the bride may offer to pick up the tab.

If it is simply a matter of taste, most bridesmaids would comply with the bride’s wishes, after all it is her day. The maid can always restyle her hair to her liking after the ceremony and pictures. Talk it over, keep an open mind, and compromise – this shouldn’t ruin a perfect day.
